I really want to thank you for advising me to register for an academic couch in order
to improve my GPA . I had registered for an academic couch and I had already met with
her at her office three weeks ago after I registered for the order in 24 hours; actually I did
not expected her quick respond to my order that was amazing of her. I had never had an
academic couch before and I did not expected that would not be extremely helpful as I
thought before. When I met with her the first time we talk about the ways that would
improve my GPA and help to organize my schedule. We also talk about my weakness in
mathematics and she agrees with you about changing my major but I cannot do this step;
since I have already switched from computer science to information system so it is going
to be waste of time if I switched again. However, she keeps up with me all work days and
set up meet with her in the end of every week. She also recommend to me tutors for the
math 118 class and the other computer classes but sadly she cannot afford or find a tutor
for the discreet math which I’m struggle with. I know that I’m been so annoying recently
but last time you told that have list of tutoring who can teach me whenever I want; so I
would really appreciate it if you could email me that list or if you know someone that
would be helpful for me. Thanks again and I wish you the best of luck.

Reflection on Sharing Career-Related Material with Parents, Siblings, Relatives, etc.
A. Please reflect on your thoughts and reactions and theirs on this events
Information sharing is vital especially to family members because it helps create connections
that are helpful in career progress. I would gladly share career related information since the
benefits are many, and it would be a good strategy for career exploration and development.
Information sharing also brings one closer the persons they share information with which is vital
in a family setting. I think of information sharing as a powerful tool when bridging gaps between
family members and developing a good career network that is helpful in one’s professional
Sharing one’s career with relatives, parents and siblings open them up to your goals and
interests in your professional development. It helps them know you better, what your life
aspirations and brings you closer to them. They loved the fact that I would trust them enough to
share that personal information and thought it was a good idea.
B. What did you learn from these interactions?
They help learn a lot about how one’s career progress impacts on lives of people close to them.
They initiate information sharing among family members which brings them closer and makes
them stronger. When faced with problems this is very helpful since family members would know
how to help. New career paths are created through information and experience sharing. Sharing
something about one’s personal life helps people understand and know you better.
C. In respect to these interactions, what suggestions do you have for me?
I would recommend that you encourage information sharing since it is a powerful tool in one’s
career development. Initiate information sharing practice among students since it would help
them learn more about their jobs and career choice. Encourage students to link up with family
members as this would create a network that is important even during job searching. Most people
learn about their career and job openings from family members, friends’ or other people close to
them, therefore, talking about one’s career to other people is necessary. I would suggest that you
emphasize on career related material sharing because it creates a network that would help a
person quickly land a job opening.
