Requirements for Group Case Studies
1. Read Case 13 & 14 – Dhahran Roads P.432-435.pdf, then following the key
points below to write a Group Case Analysis:
You should have a cover sheet, approximately 18 pages of text, a reference
page (12 point Times New Roman font, double spaced, 1” margins).
a)
b)
c)
d)
e)
f)
Exec Summary & Conclusion
Time Value of Money & Net Present Value
Profit Margin
IRR
Uncertainty & Sensitivity Analysis
Downside Exposure
2. This is a group case study, so you do not need to write instruction or
conclusion; you only need to do the Downside Exposure
3. You should write a 3 pages case analysis of Downside Exposure
4. There are 2 sources needed, and one should be the text book
5. Text Book is the pdf document I submitted for you. And the reference
information is:
Bodily, S. E., Carraway, R.L., Frey, Jr., S.C. & Pfeifer, P.E. (1998). Quantitative
business analysis: Text and cases. Boston: Irwin/McGraw-Hill.
6. Your group case study should include but not be limited to the following
format (you only need to finish your part of this group case study):
a) Executive Summary of the case – This is a paragraph or two about the
facts in the case. Be brief, but be thorough. This should be in summary
format.
b) Decision Problem – This should be a statement of the decision or
decisions the case is asking you to make.
c) Decision Alternatives & Evaluation – This will walk us through your
process. You may want to look for triggers that cause you to question
your alternatives. Look for boxes you have created for yourself in the
analysis process. Remember we have spent a lot of time giving you
examples of thinking outside of the box. You may want to discuss the
various decisions or possible decisions you examined. You may want to
state the result of the evaluation even if you reject the alternative when
you come to a final conclusion. In this section you will make use of
1
2
charts, graphs, tables such as influence diagrams, decision trees and all
relevant statistical software available to you such as Excel and Treeage.
d) Conclusions and Recommendation – This will be your final
