GROUP ASSESSMENT 2 GUIDELINES AND RUBRIC

Your paper should answer ALL the following questions:
1. IDENTIFY your PEER group. (it is friends)
2. DEFINE your group. What is the BOUNDARIES (membership requirements) of your
group? How do you know your group has COPRESENCE?
3. How is your group a PEER group? (What SAMENESS do they share? EQUALS how?
Does that sameness MATCH with the group purpose/goal?)
4. What is the communication process of your group? Meaning, what forms of
inclusion/exclusion do you use? Is the group focused on group interaction or individual
skill? Give specific examples, the same way you find in the Peer Group chapters we’ve
5. Pick a Theory, either Symbolic-Interaction, Bona Fide, or Group Dialectic. Briefly
DESCRIBE the theory in general terms.
6. How the theory APPLIES to your group, by answering the questions in the Peer Group
charts (ex. p.85) that match your theory.
7. What do you like (or don’t like) about that theory?
8. What new things have you noticed about this group now that you didn’t think about
