Assessment details
Building on secction1 and 2, develop a 3000-word action plan for implementing the
innovative change.
A guide for writing Assignment 2:
This assignment is a report that can be used to provide an action plan for change.
The report therefore should include an analysis of the evidence and from this
evidence, develop recommendations to support the reasons for change and a way to
progress it. It should include a plan of action to implement the change; and this will
include an evidenced-based description of the leadership capabilities and style that
you would recommend to successfully manage the project. It would be appropriate to
use evidence and findings developed previously in section1 & 2 (considering the
rephrasing of the information).
This assignment should include the following:

Executive summary which provides a succinct and informative overview of the
whole report e.g. the issue, innovative change, the key recommendations and/or
take-home messages.
Introduction – Continue working on the innovative change you identified and
discussed in section 1. If you want to revise/change the topic, feel free to do so.
However, it is recommended to keep your topic from section 1 to save time, and be
more consistent in your innovative change idea/plan. Discuss the context and setting
for the innovative change which outlines why the report is needed e.g. justification of
the necessity for change/gaps supported by the literature. This section can be related
to previous assignments; hence, you are able to use parts of section 1 & 2. Please
make sure to rephrase any information used.

Planning and implementing the innovative change – outlining the objectives of the
plan, relevant conceptual/theoretical implementation framework/change model to be
used, its stages/steps, communication strategies, how stakeholders will be engaged,
and which leadership model will be utilised (N.B. You may use aspects of more
than one model, but you should justify this and provide a rationale). Please use
relevant empirical literature (no greater than 10 years old, with the exception of
seminal literature), policy directives, and other relevant sources in your critical
analysis and synthesis to support arguments.
Evaluation plan identifying measurable programs/tools/instruments to be used in
assessing if the plan has met its objectives. Consider the key activities that need to
be evaluated/assessed, how these will be measured, and by whom. Also consider
any relevant conceptual/theoretical framework aligned to the evaluation. Relevant
empirical literature (no greater than 10 years old, with the exception of seminal
literature), policy directives, and other relevant sources should be used in your critical
analysis and synthesis to support arguments.
Conclusions in relation to the legal, ethical, and professional implications of the
innovative change, and key take home messages/ significance of the innovative
change from your critical analysis of relevant literature.
Recommendations – which can impact and/or facilitate the innovative change and
its implementation. This can include recommendations for different partners (e.g.,
practitioners, consumers, policy makers, etc.), at different levels (e.g. individual/staff,
organisational and statement/national levels). Consider recommendations for the
planning and implementation of the innovative change and also
recommendations for the evaluation of the innovative change which have
emerged from your analysis above.
Referencing, presentation and formatting – APA 6th style is required for
references and in-text citations. Please be advised that you can use different formats
for your writing, however it is recommended to use headings/sub-headings to
enhance the clarification/structure of writing. A minimum of 15 references should be
used in support of relevant arguments and at least half of these should be peerreviewed articles
Assignment structure Please be advised that there can be variations in preparing your
assignment. However, the below outline can be used in your writing.

Using information from workplace: The assignments are designed to provide an
opportunity to work with real workplace events to enhance the maximum relevance
and possibility of translation of the work to practice. However, if there is no possibility
of relating the assignments to the workplace, please describe the work in general
terms and/or consider the case hypothetically.
