Team Mid-Term – Introduction
This an introduction to the Team Mid-Term assignment, so that you can plan for the work
accordingly. See the syllabus for due dates and the assignment item for full submission
This assignment will take place during Weeks 4 and 5 with the final product due in Week 5.
Therefore, you need to be planning, preparing for, and working on it in conjunction with
your team over those weeks.
Carefully read through the information below, then be sure to address any questions or concerns
early in the course.
Your Midterm submittal is a paper which is to be 10 – 15 pages, double spaced, following APA
guidelines for a formal paper (e.g., title page, headings, font, spacing, etc.). Your Midterm will
be worth a total of 100 points.
You will also complete a Team Member Evaluations from which is due at the same time as the
Mid-term. (See the item in Week 6.)
For the content of what is required, follow the sections and steps below:
Section I of Midterm (Background/History; ecological system):
Select a movie as a team from the Film List below.
Complete the assigned readings and watch the weekly instructor presentations.
Watch the film.
Write a brief background/history to the circumstances of the case presented by the movie,
similar to your case vignettes you have been working on (e.g., main characters, history
and relevant issues, etc.).
5. Identify and describe the character’s ecological system (e.g., do they have a job, family,
friends, hobbies, religion, spirituality, etc.).
Section II of Midterm (Diagnosis and Justification, ecological systems, and strengths):
1. For the client chosen in your particular movie, provide a complete and accurate
